No. Grayson works exclusively with appointed wholesale brokers — not with retailers or insureds directly. An account that fits the appetite should be brought through an appointed wholesale broker.

Minimum premium is $2,250 for allied health and for residential facilities. Med spas are $2,400 for professional liability only, or $3,000 for professional and general liability. For med spas with laser and/or weight loss exposure, a higher minimum premium of $3,500 applies. Excess business is written at a minimum premium of $3,500 per million.
The minimum deductible is $1,000 for all classes of business. Certain classes such as residential facilities and med spas are typically quoted with a $2,500 deductible. A $0 deductible may be available on request for certain allied health risks.
On the primary program, professional liability is written on a claims-made basis. General liability can be written on either a claims-made or occurrence basis.
On the excess program, our excess layer must be claims-made, but we can sit excess over either an occurrence or claims-made primary policy.
Under the primary program, please click here to see the coverage enhancements available.
Yes, for the primary program. The primary program is typically quoted with separate professional liability and general liability limits. A shared option is available for a credit, and sometimes an account is quoted with a shared aggregate limit to match expiring.
A medical director may be covered for either administrative only duties, or administrative and supervisory duties, including chart sign-off, upon request. We can also write coverage for services as a collaborating or supervising physician over a mid-level such as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
Direct patient care coverage for physicians is available on med spa risks only. Physicians for direct patient care outside of med spa services are an ineligible risk.
Employees (other than physicians or dentists) are automatically included as insureds for professional services as defined on the declarations page when performed on behalf of the named insured. Independent contractors, volunteers and students can be added as insureds via endorsement upon request.
Grayson does not need to write the primary policy in order to write the excess layer. The excess sits over the professional and general liability coverages only, and is available on any class Grayson can consider on a primary basis.
The excess policy follows form over the Professional Liability and General Liability coverages only. To quote excess, Grayson needs a copy of the application used to quote the primary, as well as a copy of the primary quote and specimen policy form. Currently valued loss runs with details on all claims are required for any account with claim activity.
